Out and About on the Beat – Weekly Update |

This week “APRIL SHOWERS” definitely come to mind!
On Monday 13th I have been to an address and given some words of advice. This is in relation to being a respectful neighbour. I conducted a joint visit with Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (BDHT). As the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) we work closely with housing providers and share information when relevant. This helps to know what’s going on, problem people or locations and offers a joint approach to tackling ASB and crime.
On Tuesday 14th, During a general patrol of vulnerable locations and building myself and PSCO CAUSER disturbed a Burglary in process preventing anything from being taken. I have gained some items left behind for evidence and the investigation continues. Unfortunately this did mean we missed the COSTA surgery that day, we do apologise but I hope you understand. If you see any suspicious activities on SUTTON PARK ROAD please report it to police on 101 or 999. If you have any questions or general issues in the area, then please contact by replying to this message. We will continue to patrol to keep the buildings and people in our community safe. During this investigation I got to work closely with the Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) it was great to work with such a knowledgably forensics officer and she did some brilliant work…. Criminals beware these people are good!
On Wednesday 15th I have attended a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) on Bewdley Hill Kidderminster. This was involving a vehicle with no insurance. I spoke to a lovely passer by that stayed and provided his details and what he witnessed. It is always appreciated when people come forward to help in this manner, thank you. West Mercia Police and me personally don’t except uninsured drivers and endeavour to keep the roads a safe place. This vehicle was seized and a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) given to the driver. The investigation into this continues.
Some upcoming events: (unfortunately I wont be able to attend these) Surgery at Seven Grove on 18/04/2026 between 2pm and 3pm Bike marking event at Brintons Park on 19/04/2026 between 3pm and 4pm
I will leave you all to have a great weekend and I will be back on Tuesday 21st April 2026. I will be on some training and have some annual leave next week but I will try and reply to your messages. Otherwise one of my great colleagues will help me out.
The fun facts for the week:
I didn’t see this when I was with the Forensics officer this week… but, everyone has a Unique Tongue Prints: Just like fingerprints.
On this date in 1397 Geoffrey Chaucer tells the "Canterbury Tales" for the first time at the court of English King Richard II
